Mobile work on a smartphone or tablet requires adapted applications. Microsoft has therefore developed the new mobile Office app. It bundles Word, Excel and PowerPoint into a single application and includes new functions to make it easier to create content on mobile devices and complete tasks on the move.

The Office app combines Word, Excel and PowerPoint into a single application. This eliminates the need to switch between different apps. The solution also requires less storage space than installing the individual apps. Virtually all functions of the existing Microsoft mobile apps are still available.
By using Microsoft's Lens function, the smartphone camera gets additional features. For example, images can be converted into editable Word and Excel documents or PDFs can be scanned. Whiteboards can also be captured, and automatic digital enhancement increases the readability of the content.
The app provides new functions especially for working with the smartphone. For example, creating short notes, signing PDFs, scanning QR codes, or transferring files between devices.
